SCALING UP THE SWEDISH WOOL SWEATER
The Swedish Wool project began in 2019 when we discovered that the wool byproduct from the local meat industry was going to waste. We partnered with another Swedish brand, Röjk, and a Swedish sheep farm in Kungsör to develop a new traceable supply chain that put this valuable resource to use.
After the success of the first Swedish Wool Sweater we’ve begun scaling up the project with the support of Axfoundation, allowing us to bring in more brands and stakeholders. We’ve increased production from 120 pieces in 2019 to 350 the following year. In 2020, we also received the Draper’s Sustainable Fashion Award for Best Supply Chain Initiative.
