The new collection represents Filippa K in its casually relaxed approach to men’s dressing – to play around and to mix and match the different pieces for an individual look. There is a balance of classic tailoring and modern styling, where the garments have a softer and more drapey yet elegant cut. New basics feel more important than ever, ranging from the perfectly cut chino and the modern fit polo shirt to the sporty nylon jacket and the timeless car coat.

For Spring Summer 2009 Filippa K Man explores the possibilities of classic pieces in a milky, dusty colour palette with the addition of unexpected tailoring details.
The silhouette is reminiscent of a 70’s type aesthetics but employs a cleaner expression through subtle modern tailoring rather than exaggerated cuts and bold colours.
Contrasting linings and cleaver details are placed on insides and thus meant for the wearer rather than the spectator. A classic dressed elegance and masculine shape is juxtaposed by an unconventional array of blues and greys; pistachios and corals ad yet another dimension.
A confident man who appreciates subtle details yet bemuses at the joie de vivre of times gone by characterizes Filippa K Man for Spring Summer 2009.
