Fashion Show
at the Royal Swedish Opera
PRESS Filippa K showed its upcoming fall/winter 2008 collection yesterday in the magnificent Golden Foyer at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm – a contrast-rich setting for the new collection’s stylish blend of classic elegance and urban 70’s punk. The fashion show also marked the starting point for a partnership between Filippa K and the Royal Swedish Opera.
The new collection’s playful combination of urban youth and timeless elegance was reflected in the contrast between a modern fashion show and the legendary Golden Foyer of the Royal Swedish Opera. 20 models, styled by Robert Rydberg, showcased the new collection to a select group of guests and members of the international fashion press.
“This is a very exciting collection for us, influenced by early seventies England and full of funky contrasts between early punk and classic English refinement, with a dash of humor and sense of not taking yourself too seriously. Imagine a stylish young Lord or Lady in the early seventies who’s gone totally punk.” said Rasmus Wingårdh, Creative Manager.
