Pre Fall 09

women’s collection

For Pre Fall 09 Filippa K Woman gazes towards the Orient. A graphically clean silhouette where voluminous tapered pants are combined with short boxy tops is juxtaposed by a contrary second silhouette where the ratios are reversed. A skinny lower contour is paired with voluminous tops and lowered waistlines.

Monochromatic layers, warm dirty hues and tactile knitted prints create a sensation of contrast and mix in the realm of a casually sensual collection.

Ingmar Bergman’s name is one of those names that will always have a special meaning in the lives of those who have encountered some of his extensive work. Most can recall the first film or play in which they were for the first, but seldom for the last time, mesmerised by a writer and director, whom over an almost sixty year long career, managed touch his viewer as strongly intellectually as emotionally.

Perhaps the way Bergman uses the concept of recognition, often repeating faces, story-lines and locations thus fuelling the idea of a Bergman world that in ways can be described as autonomic, is a part of the undoubted attraction.

Perhaps it’s the thoroughness of the work, where even manuscripts in themselves have been accredited as highly interesting from a strict literary sense.
Perhaps it’s the relationship that Bergman had with the actor, far to often to disregard as idiosyncratic, proclaiming a growth as much as professionals as individuals that contributes to the magnetism that is internationally recognised  as possessed by Bergmans work.

Either way, the work of Ingmar Bergman, Sweden’s most famous film director and overall one of the world’s most important filmmakers and directors, rests solely and securely in the hearts and minds of such a large audience that it is forever guaranteed eternal life.
