A lot of my friends will nod in agreement when I say I have an insatiable appetite for shopping! But I would like to make a small point; I do not participate in meaningless consumption, where one buys stuff without knowing what for and especially crappy rubbish stuff that falls apart shortly after purchase.

Looking for a Rucksack

I just can’t enjoy a day of shopping if I have a bag weighing down my shoulder and causing my neck muscles to strain – anybody recognise the feeling?

I have discovered that I love the feeling of having both my arms free and the weight squarely on my back, so I need a rucksack! Finding a rucksack is no easy job, when in Paris last time I bought another one of the only one I’ve ever managed to like, or find for that matter, a small nylon rucksack from Hervé Chapelier, they’ve been making them for over 15 years.

I find myself inspired by black and white interiors at the moment. I have just finished renovating and decorating my new apartment in Stockholm and black and white has been a sort of running theme. In London I kept picking up on the black and white.
