Filippa K Woman
Spring Summer 2009
Filippa K Spring Summer 2009 employs the aesthetic of minimalism yet plays with a girlish innocence juxtaposed by an undertone of maturity and sensuality.
The silhouette puts emphasis on volume in maxi pants and full skirts whilst tops remain short and boxy, hence creating a strong triangular silhouette. Materials are often soft and feminine in relaxed and sun-bleached colours. Draping and pleats are contrasted by strong shoulders and nipped in waists.
The contradiction yet the kinship of combining a young college vibe with feminine and classic tailoring details creates a balance; but nevertheless a feeling of the unexpected. Thus, the aim of an aesthetic expression that speaks to a nuanced woman is embodied in Spring Summer 2009 and captures the complex yet carefree spirit of Filippa K.
